EFEK JANGKA PANJANG KINESIOTAPE PADA KESEIMBANGAN DAN STATUS FUNGSIONAL PADA INSTABILITAS PERGELANGAN KAKI KRONIS

Instabilitas pergelangan kaki kronis atau chronic ankle instability (CAI) dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan mekanoreseptor sendi pergelangan kaki sehingga mengganggu keseimbangan. Penggunaan Kinesiotape (KT) akan menstimulasi mekanoreseptor kulit sehingga mempengaruhi keseimbangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai efek pemasangan KT jangka panjang pada keseimbangan statik, dinamik, dan status fungsional penderita CAI. Intervensi berupa pemasangan KT pada atlit rekreasional futsal yang mengalami CAI diberikan selama 2 minggu. Penilaian terhadap keseimbangan statik menggunakan Single Leg Stance Test (SLST), keseimbangan dinamik menggunakan Normalized Star Excursion Balance Test (NSEBT), dan status fungsional menggunakan kuesioner Foot and Ankle Ability Measure (FAAM) dilakukan pada saat sebelum dan setelah intervensi. Peserta penelitian sebanyak 15 orang laki-laki dengan hasil nilai SLST, NSEBT dan FAAM berbeda secara signifikan (p < 0,05). Kesimpulan yaitu pemasangan KT dalam jangka panjang dapat memperbaiki keseimbangan statik, dinamis dan status fungsional pada penderita CAI.
