Adolescents in prison tend to experience significant emotional stress, which can potentially worsen their mental health conditions. Sports are considered a practical and effective intervention method as they can trigger the release of serotonin and endorphins, hormones that play a role in improving mood. The research sample consisted of 20 male juvenile inmates at LPKA Bandung, aged 15-19 years, who participated in an eight-week recreational sports program. Measurements were conducted using the DASS-42 questionnaire to evaluate levels of anxiety, stress, and depression. The analysis results showed that the sports intervention significantly reduced anxiety (p-value = 0.000) but did not have a significant effect on stress and depression (p-value &gt; 0.05). These findings suggest that recreational sports can be an effective intervention for reducing anxiety among adolescents in correctional settings; however, additional approaches are needed to address stress and depression. This study makes an important contribution to the development of sports-based rehabilitation programs in correctional facilities.</p> </div> </div> </div> Dinda Khoerunnisa, Nia Sri Ramania, Esther Margaritha Livida Sinsuw, Ahdan Abdillah Ad-Dauli, Bagus Winata Copyright (c) 2025 Dinda Khoerunnisa, Nia Sri Ramania, Esther Margaritha Livida Sinsuw, Ahdan Abdillah Ad-Dauli, Bagus Winata https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journals.itb.ac.id/index.php/jskk/article/view/24791 Thu, 05 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Development of a Test Instrument for Basic Technical Skills of Playing Handball https://journals.itb.ac.id/index.php/jskk/article/view/25017 <div class="page" title="Page 1"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> <p>A series of tests of special technical skills in handball games, for handball players that match the characteristics in actual handball training and matches. Achievement motivation is a significant factor in achieving optimal performance, but excessive pressure can increase the risk of burnout. In the field, many athletes experience physical and emotional exhaustion due to the drive to achieve without good stress management. This study aims to understand the role of achievement motivation, which is generally considered positive but also has the potential to trigger burnout. The method used is quantitative descriptive with an ex-post facto approach, involving active rowing athletes in Bandung City. The research instrument was a closed questionnaire with a scale of achievement motivation and burnout. The results of the study showed a significant relationship between the two. The higher the motivation to celebrate, the lower the risk of burnout, while low motivation increases the risk. In conclusion, a balanced approach is needed in building athlete motivation, by considering psychological factors and training load management. Coaches and support teams are advised to implement burnout prevention strategies, such as optimal recovery programs, psychological assistance, and creating a training environment that supports the mental well-being of athletes.</em></p> Salma Putri Bakti, Komarudin Komarudin, Mochamad Yamin Saputra, Geraldi Novian Copyright (c) 2025 Salma Putri Bakti, Komarudin Komarudin, Mochamad Yamin Saputra, Geraldi Novian https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journals.itb.ac.id/index.php/jskk/article/view/25351 Thu, 05 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Influence of Positive Self-Talk on Decision-Making of Young Futsal Athletes https://journals.itb.ac.id/index.php/jskk/article/view/25402 <p><em>Futsal sports have very fast and dynamic game characteristics that require players </em><em>to move quickly and dynamically on the field.
