The journal aims to promote scientific discourse and disseminate research on various branches and applications of bio-science, biotechnology and bio-based management.
This journal invites original empirical research, literature reviews, theoretical or methodological contributions, or short communications on, but not limited to, the following topics:
- Ecology and Biosystematics
- Genetics and Molecular Biology
- Animal Development and Physiology
- Plant Development and Physiology
- Biomedical science

The journal also invites contributions from other associated disciplines. This journal is an open-access journal. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles without any charge, provided that readers acknowledge the Creative Commons attached to the articles. All submitted papers are reviewed by at least two referees before being accepted for publication, following a double-blind review process.
This journal is delivered in an academic English and rigorously edited to provide a quality standard of a scientific journal. This journal is managed by the School of Life Sciences and Technology, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia.
3 BIO Journal of Biological Science, Technology and Management aims at rapid publication of high quality research while maintaining rigorous but sympathetic peer review process. Manuscripts (other than those that are of insufficient quality or unlikely to be competitive enough for publication) will be peer-reviewed by two or more experts in the fields, and a decision is returned to the authors in about one month. We implement a double blind peer review process.
If due to special circumstance, the review process takes more time, authors will be informed by email. Manuscripts with significant results will be reviewed and published at the highest priority and speed. Possible decisions on a manuscript are:
- accepted as it is
- accepted after minor revision
- accepted after major revision
If minor revision is required, authors should return a revised version as soon as possible within 15 days. If major revision is required, authors should return a revised version within 25 days.
Authors are asked to facilitate the review process by providing the names and e-mail addresses of at least three suitable reviewers, on the understanding that the editor is not bound by any such nomination. Failure to follow this request may delay the handling of your paper, since the editorial office may specifically ask you to nominate potential reviewers for papers covering unfamiliar areas.
This journal publishes twice a year. Journal articles are published collectively as part of an issue with its own Table of Contents. However, we also publish individual articles as soon as they are ready in the form of "current"/Online First.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
