The Growth and Orientation of Platelet Ag3Sn Single Crystals
Abstract
Platelet single crystals of Ag3Sn of 200 μm thickness and 5 mm in the other dimensions can be produced by temperature gradient method from an ingot of Ag-Sn alloy with a composition of 40 wt % Ag and 60 wt % Sn. It was found that the platelet surfaces have the some crystallographic plane. X-ray diffraction study showed that the plane is (020) plane.
