Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

The author must send the manuscript online submissions to the website https://journals.itb.ac.id/index.php/jtms by first registering as an author

Script Selection Criteria

  1. Every paper received by the editor will be reviewed by at least two experts in the same field before the paper is published.
  2. The accepted paper is a paper which includes the category, as follows:
  • Full paper
  • Short paper
  • Discussion or comment (based on the previously published papers)
  • Review paper on the State of the Art report in a particular topic
  1. At the time of submission of the paper, the authors should include the category of papers.
  2. All draft papers shall be accompanied by a declaration that the text has not been published previously by another publication.
  3. The manuscript should be written correctly in Indonesian or English.
  4. The text is unacceptable if it contains political elements, commercialism, and subjectivity exaggeration, or the projection of someone who is both flattering and condescending.
  5. The paper should contain:
  • Title of manuscript
  • The name of the lead author and co-author (without title)
  • Name of the institution where the lead author and co-author (authors) work include e-mail(s).
  • Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia and English language. The abstract length is not more than 200 words.
  • The Introduction
  • The main content of paper(s)
  • The Conclusions
  • The reference(s) is arranged literally by the author's final name, followed by the year of publication, the title, and so on. The literature quotation on the manuscript is not a number but stating the author's final name and the year published.
  1. The manuscript is written on A4 size paper using Microsoft Word and Word Processor (including image, photo, table, and the flowchart in the original file) to the editorial address website: http://journals.itb.ac.id/index.php/jts.
  2. Symbols and terminology used are symbols and terminology commonly used in the field result of their expertise.
  3. The unit used is the International Unit (SI).
  4. The author agrees to transfer his copyright to the editor of this Journal.

Peer Review Process

Process / Flow of Article Publication

  1. The author sends a paper to the editorial team through the journal Machine website portal in a format that can be downloaded here (hyperlink).
  2. The Editorial Team will conduct an initial check regarding the format of the journal and the suitability of field coverage. Rejected papers will be returned to the authors, so they can be corrected according to the paper selection criteria. If it still does not meet the criteria for the Jurnal Mesin, the paper will be rejected.
  3. Papers that have been received through the editorial team in accordance with the paper selection criteria will receive Under Review status and be sent to Reviewers in accordance with their fields.
  4. The review process is carried out by at least two reviewers who are experts in their fields.
  5. After the review process is carried out by the Reviewers, Editor will make a decision on the status of the paper: accepted, minor revision, major revision, or rejected.
  6. If the review results provided by the Reviewers are in the form of major revisions or minor revisions, the authors are asked to revise the paper and send the revised results along with answers to the reviewer's comments/questions through the portal within 2-4 weeks.
  7. The editor will check the revised results, and if the results are accepted, the editor will send a notification that the paper has been accepted for publication.
  8. The paper will proceed to the editing process to be published in the Jurnal Mesin.
