Abstract

Abstrak. Standard API RP2A "? LRFD dikembangkan berdasarkan kondisi lingkungan di Teluk Meksiko. Karena itu, penggunaan standard tersebut di Indonesia akan menghasilkan desain struktur yang berlebih karena kondisi lingkungan di Indonesia lebih tenang dibandingkan kondisi lingkungan di Teluk Meksiko. Dalam makalah ini, sebuah model struktur anjungan lepas pantai tipe brace monopod digunakan untuk mempelajari angka kehandalannya dan untuk menentukan faktor beban yang sesuai dengan kondisi lingkungan di perairan Sumatera Tenggara. Struktur tersebut didesain berdasarkan standard API RP2A "? WSD. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa struktur memiliki angka kehandalan yang melampaui kebutuhan minimum dan, berdasarkan angka kehandalan yang sama, faktor beban lingkungan yang digunakan seharusnya lebih kecil dari yang ditentukan dalam API RP2A "? LRFD.

Abstract. API RP2A "?LRFD standard was developed based on Gulf of Mexico environment. Therefore, application of the standard in Indonesia will result in an over designed structure since the environment in Indonesia is less severe compare to the environment in Gulf of Mexico. In this paper, a model of a brace monopod platform is used to study the reliability index of the structure and to determine the environmental load factors based on environmental condition at South East Sumatera Area. The structure was designed based on API RP2A "? WSD standard. The result shows that the reliability index of the structure is exceeding the minimum requirement and, by using the same reliability index, the environmental loading factors shall be less then those determined in API RP2A "? LRFD.
