Abstrak. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah menjelaskan mengenai penggunaan quartz powder dalam reactive powder concrete (RPC) terutama pengaruhnya terhadap struktur mikro dan kuat tekan. Dalam desain campuran RPC, selain menentukan jumlah material yang digunakan, temperatur curingdivariasikan guna menjelaskan fungsi quartz powder. Perendaman, penguapan dan penguapan bertekanan tinggi merupakan teknik yang digunakan untuk melakukan variasi temperatur curing. Pengamatan struktur mikro dilakukan menggunakan difraksi sinar x (XRD) dan scaning electron microscopy (SEM). Penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa quartz powder dalam RPC memiliki peranan menurunkan tingkat workabilitas campuran, memicu terbentuknya C-S-HIV dan meningkatkan kuat tekan.Abstract. The objective of the research is to explain the use of quartz powder in reactive powder concrete, particularly its effect on micro structure and compresive strength. In RPC mix design, besides determining the amount of material used, curing temperature was varied to explain the role of the quartz powder. Immersion curing, steam curing and high presure steam curing were method used to vary curing temperature.Observaton of micro structure was conducted using X-ray difraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It was shown that quartz powder in RPC was able to reduce concrete mix level of workability, triggered the formation of C-S-HIV and inreasedcompresive strength.
