DAMPAK TREN PENERAPAN KONSEP SUSTAINABILITY DALAM KEMASAN PRODUK MINUMAN DI BANDUN

ABSTRAK Artikel yang berjudul "Dampak Tren Penerapan Konsep Sustainability Dalam Kemasan Produk Minuman di Bandung" ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya peningkatan penggunaan plastik dalam kemasannya. Tidak dipungkiri lagi kemasan produk dari perusahaan kuliner turut memegang peranan penting dalam keberlangsungan lingkungan hidup. Beberapa perusahaan produk minuman seperti: Starbucks dan Fore Coffee di Bandung telah berupaya menerapkan penggunaan kemasan gelas yang dapat digunakan berulang kali dan sedotan kertas. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa yang memicu dan bagaimana dampak konsep sustainability ini di kemasan produknya dengan cara mewawancarai salah satu manajer Starbucks Bandung dan melakukan studi literatur terhadap perusahaan Fore Coffee. Hasil analisis memunculkan tiga tema yaitu: kesadaran lingkungan, renewable energy, dan loyalitas konsumen. Kajian tentang ketiga tema tersebut sangat berguna untuk memahami bagaimana cara optimal perusahaan kopi mengurangi limbah plastiknya. Kata kunci: optimalisasi, kemasan, kesadaran lingkungan.
ABSTRACT The article entitled "The Impact of Implementing the Trend of Sustainability on Beverage Packaging in Bandung" was motivated by an increase in the use of plastic in its packaging. No doubt the product packaging from culinary companies also plays an important role in environmental sustainability. Some beverage product companies such as: Starbucks and Fore Coffee in Bandung have tried to implement the use of glass containers that can be used repeatedly and paper straws. The purpose of this article is to find out what triggers and how the impact of the concept of sustainability in the packaging of its products by interviewing one of the managers of Starbucks Bandung and conducting a literature study of the Fore Coffee company. The analysis results gave rise to three themes namely environmental awareness, renewable energy, and consumer loyalty. The study of these three themes is very useful for understanding how optimal beverage companies reduce their plastic waste. Keywords: optimization, packaging, environmental awareness.
