Earth Wall dengan Tanah Marginal dengan Pengujian Skala Penuh

Abstrak
Mechanically Stabilized Earth Wall (MSE Wall) banyak dilakukan sebagai salah satu alternatif dinding penahan tanah. Ketidaktersediaan material granular bergradasi baik sesuai dengan persyaratan menyebabkan penggunaan tanah marginal tidak dapat dihindari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat performa dari MSE Wall dengan timbunan tanah marginal. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan pembuatan model dinding dengan tinggi 3 m menggunakan timbunan tanah marginal clayey silt. Perkuatan yang akan digunakan adalah strip geosintetik yang terbuat dari anyaman benang polyester kuat tarik tinggi dengan kuat tarik 50 kN, panjang penjangkaran 3 m (1H), spasi vertikal 0,6 m, dan spasi horizontal 0,6 m. Pembebanan akan dilakukan secara bertahap dari mulai 10 kPa, 20 kPa, hingga 30 kPa. Proses saturasi akan berlangsung selama 5 hari setelah pembebanan terakhir dilakukan. Monitoring akan dilakukan terhadap pergerakan dinding, gaya aksial tarik yang terjadi pada perkuatan, dan tekanan yang terjadi pada dinding. Gaya tarik aksial terjadi paling besar pada layer bagian atas yang disertai dengan pergerakan dinding ke arah dalam facing pada akhir proses saturasi dikarenakan turunnya tegangan efektif, berkurangnya kuat geser, terjadinya settlement akibat beban, dan efek suction yang berkurang.
