    This current edition begins with an insightful analysis of the factors shaping the digital transformation of public services in Banda Aceh City and Jambi City. This article sheds light on the intricate interaction between technology, policy, and societal needs, offering valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners alike.

    Moving forward, we explore the critical issue of addressing sexual violence in college settings through innovative user interface applications. This research underscores the importance of technology in facilitating support and intervention mechanisms for survivors of sexual violence.

    As we navigate the digital landscape of Indonesia's contemporary generation, another article unveils the complex dynamics of language and digital identity. This exploration provides a nuanced understanding of how digital platforms shape cultural expression and societal discourse.

    In the realm of education, we examine the challenges and opportunities presented by synchronous and asynchronous online classrooms in tourism vocational high schools in Indonesia. This study underscores the need for innovative technological applications to enhance learning outcomes in diverse educational settings.

    Turning our attention to consumer behavior, we investigate the influence of e-service quality on customer satisfaction and repurchase interest in the context of McDonald's. Employing structural equation modeling, this research provides valuable insights for businesses striving to meet the evolving demands of digital consumers.

    Exploring the realm of marketing, our contributors study the role of virtual experiential marketing and brand trust in fostering brand loyalty. This article offers practical strategies for leveraging virtual experiences to enhance consumer engagement and loyalty.

    Our publication also features an eye-tracking analysis of user experiences on TikTok MACAN Museum, providing intriguing insights into the visual dynamics of digital content consumption.

    A narrative review examining the building of trust in artificial intelligence-based educational supporting systems is also presented in this edition. This research underscores the importance of transparency, accountability, and ethical considerations in the development and implementation of AI-driven educational technologies.

    Finally, this edition concludes with an exploration of democracy in divided societies takes center stage in our publication, probing into electoral engineering for conflict management.     The topics covered in this edition encompass a wide range of issues, from the intricate relationship between Generation Z and their online food purchase choices to the development of innovative jumping sideways instruments for website-based children's coordination tests. We explore how technology can serve the vulnerable, with a profound examination of an adaptive clothing closure system for people with dementia in the moderate stage.

    As technology continues to shape urban landscapes, our contributors investigate the effect of relocating street hawkers on urban vitality in the Malioboro Tourism Area, Yogyakarta. Furthermore, we explore the contemporary skill-based citizenship competencies in vocational education that prepare our future generations to navigate the complexities of the 21st century.

    A lot has happened throughout 2022. The Covid pandemic has not yet ended and the efforts of researchers regarding this disaster can be seen from the many Covid-related articles that have been sent to us, including the impact of online education which has had to be carried out for almost the past two years. Fortunately the development of digital technology is very helpful.

    Not only in the field of education, rapid developments in the digital world have also become the object of research by many scientists in the fields of economics and culture.

    Following the re-accreditation (Sinta2) by the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology, through the Decree No. 158/E/KPT/2021 concerning Peringkat Akreditasi Jurnal Ilmiah Periode I Th. 2021, we are pleased to inform you that Jurnal Sosioteknologi 21st Edition, Vol, 1, March 2022, has been published.


    We have featured a few changes in this edition as follows. The article publication schedule has changed into March, July, and November. The layout of the manuscript has also undergone changes. For the readers’ convenience, from this issue onwards we will be using 1 column template. We would like to show our commitment to improving our journal’s consistency in editing. Furthermore, we will continue to strive to improve our journal’s quality, in term of both the content and the presentation.

    We gladly announce that Jurnal Sosioteknologi Vol. 20 Issue 3 (December 2021) is now available, consisting of eight (8) articles in English and four (4) articles in Bahasa Indonesia. We’d also like to share good news with all authors, reviewers, and readers that Jurnal Sosioteknologi has been recently re-accredited (2021-2025) SINTA 2 by Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Riset, dan Teknologi No. 158/E/KPT/2021 tentang Peringkat Akreditasi Jurnal Ilmiah Periode I Th. 2021.
    As part of the plan for the internationalization of our journal, for future editions, we encourage authors to submit manuscripts within our focus and scope in English. Kindly be notified that starting 2022, Jurnal Sosioteknologi will be published in March, July, and November. There will be changes in our manuscript template and APC.

    Jurnal Sosioteknologi is committed to publishing academic manuscripts in the fields of humanities and technology that discuss strategic issues and novelties in authors' respective fields, both academically and practically. Jurnal Sosioteknologi accepts manuscripts in the form of research results, conceptual ideas, studies, and theoretical applications, as well as book reviews.


    This journal focuses on the research fields of the intersection of science, technology, arts, and humanities, as well as the implications of science, technology and art on people's lives. Jurnal Sosioteknologi publishes manuscripts three times each year: April, August, and December.


    We'd also like to inform you that in 2021 our journal will undergo re-accreditation while also preparing for international indexing. Therefore, we are kindly inviting authors from Indonesia and other countries to send your manuscripts in English to our journal.
