RISET KHALAYAK DIGITAL: PERSPEKTIF KHALAYAK MEDIA DAN REALITAS VIRTUAL DI MEDIA SOSIAL

Analisis Media Siber (AMS) merupakan tawaran metode baru untuk melihat realitas khalayak sebagai pengguna di dunia virtual. Khalayak yang selama ini menjadi sekadar konsumen media dan terpisah dari proses produksi informasi di internet khalayak memerankan dua posisi sekaligus, yakni sebagai konsumen dan produsen. Kekuatan khalayak dalam memproduksi konten kemudian harus dilihat sebagai pergeseran dari konsep broadcast atau penyiaran yang hanya mengandalkan satu sumber semata. Konsep tersebut muncul melalui level mikro atau teks. Budaya maupun artefak budaya di internet terbagi menjadi empat level, yakni ruang media (media space), dokumen media (media archive), objek media (media object), danpengalaman (experiential stories).
