Complaints and Appeals Policy
Authors and readers may submit a complaint or appeal concerning editorial procedures, publication ethics, or an editorial decision.
An appeal against an editorial decision must provide clear scientific or procedural grounds and should not merely express disagreement with the outcome.
Appeals will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or another qualified editor who was not directly responsible for the original decision, where appropriate.
Complaints involving the Editor-in-Chief will be handled independently by the publisher or another designated authority.
JICTRA will consider complaints and appeals fairly, confidentially, and on the basis of available evidence.
Grounds for Appeal: Editorial decision appeals must provide clear scientific or procedural grounds.
Editorial Review: Appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or another qualified editor, as appropriate.
Independent Handling: Complaints involving the Editor-in-Chief are handled by the publisher or another designated authority.
Fairness: Complaints and appeals are considered fairly.
Confidentiality: Information is handled confidentially.
Evidence-Based Assessment: Consideration is based on available evidence.
